With how fast paced the fashion industry has been lately, only particular things make the limelight. That this is the case is not something we entirely agree with, for good reason. In the introductory post that was recently published, insight on this series was given and a few menswear designers we were opportune to discover were featured. We strongly believe that a lot of talent worth discovering are all around us and with that said, here are a few more menswear brands for you to know about.
A brand that has made it a mission to reiterate what the whole world should know by now: black is cool, and ubiquitous. With its dark aesthetics, the brand has managed to create light out of darkness by making streetwear that not only appeals to the urban demographic, but also the more metropolitan scene who just want to dabble.
Specializing in made-to-measure men’s formal wear, Zane Barlas is quite precisely the designer that stole the largest piece of the TOM cake for us. Deemed a lifestyle, and not merely a label, Zane Barlas offers pieces for the “modern man who values classic elegance. One that appreciates varying perspectives on life yet creating his own.” With a selection ranging from well-tailored overcoats to tuxedos and double-breasted suits, the brand utilizes fabrics sourced predominantly from Italy to deliver classic elegance with a twist of modernity.
This brand's ingenuity is one that words can't do justice to, but is capable of leaving you astounded. Being the first of its kind, North Aware launched the Smart Parka - now its signature product - last year on Kickstarter. Dubbed "the world's first complete winter coat," the Smart Parka features built-in leather and cashmere gloves, scarf, airpods pocket and a water resistant exterior. In addition, it has a detachable fur and hood, cushioned smart phone pocket, and tablet pocket; thus, making your winter commute lighter, warmer and hassle-free.
